The Friday trifecta writing challenge this week is to write a 33 word story, including: ‘tether’, ‘loft’ and ‘crown’.
Here is my offering:
“While greater fools look on”
by Dr. Mike Reddy (@doctormikereddy)
[33 words]
“Aren’t we breaking into the Treasury?” I asked. We’d scaled the wall, thanks to a bribable servant’s rope tether, but headed up. “The crown’s NOT in the loft.”
“We’re not after the crown…”
Interesting twist on the prompt words.
there is some story behind here.. what could you be after if not the crown
Very intriguing!
Hmmmm….
Ooh, intriguing story. I would love to know what they are looking for, if not the crown!
I’m sure there are more interesting things up there!
Thank you for linking up. Voting is now active so be sure to come back!
They’re after…the scepter!
Actually I have no idea what they’re after haha Great piece!
dun – dun – dun . . . . intrigue!
You piqued our interest. Hope you tell us the full story.
Well done 🙂
I’d like to…
…but even I don’t know what’s in the loft!
🙂
Better than a crown? Must be a damsel in distress!
Could be! The lift is the highest room in the tallest tower, after all!
